Founded in San Diego in 2025, The La Jolla Center for Pacific Strategy was built on the foundation of the city's Pacific reach. Recognizing San Diego's preeminence across distinct strategic domains, the founders created an institution to bring those leaders together and become America's home for Pacific leadership.
The La Jolla Center for Pacific Strategy is incorporated as a nonprofit organization.
The Center publicly launches.
The Center receives its 501(c)(3) designation.
The Center hosts its first public event: the inaugural La Jolla Dialogues, convening senior French military and diplomatic officials on U.S.–French security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. The Center's first Fellow is named, the Tijuana River Public Health Crisis program launches.
The Center convenes America's Strategic City, its first major forum, bringing together leaders across defense, public health, economic development, and ocean and climate research.
The Undersea Strategy program launches, and two additional Fellows join the Center.
The Center hosts its second La Jolla Dialogues event, an executive conversation with a senior German Navy flag officer on naval strategy and allied procurement, reflecting Germany's own pivot toward a more active Indo-Pacific naval presence.
