Brandon Patterson

Brandon Patterson is a historian and strategic analyst with experience advising government and private-sector clients on issues of maritime security, nuclear policy, and great-power competition. His work focuses on applying historical insight to contemporary strategic and policy challenges.
He previously served as an advisor to Baron Public Affairs and is the Founder and President of Athena Strategic Policy, a geopolitical consultancy serving government and private-sector clients. Brandon has led and contributed to applied research initiatives examining sea power, military strategy, and the strategic implications of emerging technologies.
He holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy.
